Week 2 of Portrait Art Classes

This week our model set up in a different pose from last week (and was a different person from last week), they were posed in a different part of the room and a light was set up so that half of their face was in shadow and parts of their face was well lit.

Jess took us through tonal value- we looked at ways of using monochrome and pulling out the highlights and the shadows from the artificial lighting that was set up all with one colour.

I liked this as there was no additional stress of adding/ choosing different colours.
